Kelly Yore
Owner / Founder

Kelly Yore was born in Hickory, NC and raised in Midland, MI. Growing up in a household where both of his parent’s occupations were private music teachers, he was immersed into music from a very young age. Studying under both parents, he became a very accomplished pianist, guitarist, and most of all, percussionist, specializing in drum corps and rudimentary drumming. Since then he has travelled the country with multiple drum lines, percussion ensembles, and bands. His greatest joy is imparting his love for music into his students.

CJ Pettis
Percussion Instructor

CJ Pettis got his start in Mobile, Alabama where he played drums through middle and high school until he started attending University of Southern Mississippi. While at USM School of Music, CJ had the privilege of studying with some incredible teachers and was exposed to many different musical concepts and styles. After school, CJ joined the Marine Corps, which eventually brought him to the Jacksonville area. Now retired from the military, he continues to teach all areas of percussion, from drum corps to classical orchestral drumming.

Ben Figueroa
Piano Instructor

Ben Figueroa has played music his whole life, becoming an accomplished classical pianist, as well as a well known keys player in many Christian contemporary and gospel music sectors. Teaching is one of his greatest passions.

Quin Rutkowski
Piano/Guitar Instructor

Quin Rutkowski grew up in Midland, MI. From a young age, he devoted much of his life to music, specifically guitar. He is an industry professional in the area of electric lead guitar, with extensive studies in tone and alternative genres. He is proficient on almost every instrument taught at the studio. When not practicing music, his greatest hobby, he is an avid business developer, using his degree in business management to coach other entrepreneurs into seeing their vision become a success.

Rachel Surovy
Piano Instructor

Rachel Surovy grew up in Anderson, South Carolina. She began playing the piano at 7 years old. In college she majored in early childhood and elementary education while continuing to work on her piano studies under multiple professors and monks at Anderson University. Teaching is one of her greatest passions.

Greg Shreckengost
Piano/Guitar Instructor

Greg Shreckengost is originally from New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school in 1993, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he studied music education and performance. He later transferred to Clarion University, where he finished a Bachelor of Science in Music Education in 2004. He has been a band director in ther Onslow County School system for over twenty years.

Outside of his school life, Greg is the Music Director at Northwoods United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing guitar.
